This is my one point perspective drawing. I learned that I was able to create a room only using one point perspective and did a really good job on it. My drawing is different from the others because mine has two floors. As you can see I made the couch on the ceiling so that whichever way you put it, it looks ok. Some art elements that were used to creative this drawing were contrast, space and value. Using these art elements made it easier for me to pick out and realize what I needed to add how I was going to incorporate these into my art work.
The shapes and space drawing that is displayed here are boxes and different kinds of shapes. This image to me, looks like a bunch of shapes floating and going to the same vanishing point as it gets farther or closer away. One new skill that I learned was how to make the background of a shape to show value and depth in the square and triangle like it is a solid object. A main art element I noticed that I used a lot is contrast. You can see the light and dark value that really helped make this drawing come together.
I finished a square drawing. The whole goal for making this is to show that I can show perspective of a square to make it almost look like a tunnel. This took about a day to make, which wasn't to long. I cut out several different slices of purple square and glued it onto my paper. One new skill that's learned was how to make my drawings have depth in them instead if just a flat surface or plane. A main art element that i used was shape. As you see shown this is a square.
This drawing uses many different polygons to create a 2D space. While working on this piece I learned how to incorporate relative sizing, over lap and value to accomplish the finishing my piece. Learning these important skills helped me make a drawing that I didn't even know I could accomplish.
We made a drawing using different shapes to create a design. One new skill that I used while working on this was pushing lighter and harder down on my pencil to create the illusion of things being closer or farther away. One art element that I learned and used well was value. The skills and elements that I learned helped me create an good drawing and make a whole new meaning to how I look at squares and different shapes.
